Weapon & Equipment Upgrades¶
Various weapons & equipment sets can be upgraded to better ones by doing so called Upgrade Quests. Often times you need to collect extra items in order to upgrade your gear.

The following equipment sets can be ugpraded through quests, with the exception of Dark Star Set being non-upgradeable.
Dark Star Set can be obtained from a quest, except for the armor, it must be looted.
Dark Warrior Set can be upgraded to by using multiple different items. (read which ones below)

Only lootable, no upgrade quest exists for these:

Upgrading casual gear to Dark Warrior Set¶
The following items are needed to upgrade to Dark Warrior Set

The area where Dark Warrior Set can be created by placing the items next to each other on stones and pulling a lever, is located somewhere in the depths of Snowmania. All of the items required for Dark Warrior Set can be looted from monsters, or obtained from lower level beginner difficulty quests. Upgrading Tusk, Rose or Honour Shield to Cyclip Shield¶
The following items are needed to upgrade either Rose, Tusk or Honour Shield to Cyclip Shield
Eagle, Blessed & Tempest Shields, 1 Illuminati.
One of the following is also needed: Tusk, Rose or Honour Shield
You can enter the Cyclip Shield Upgrade area at the end of Plains of Gold. There are multiple videos on youtube showing how to get there, try using keywords “Cyclip Shield Quest Outcastserver” or “Plains of Gold Outcastserver” when looking for clips at https://youtube.outcastserver.com
You can find Eagle Shield from a quest in Drushak, and Tempest Shield from a +5 Age Quest, and Blessed Shield Quest from the depths of Vroengard, the main city. Each quest most likely has a youtube video on how to complete them.
Illuminati can be looted from monsters, write !collectibles in-game and youll get a full list of which monster drops which collectibles.
Upgrading Cyclip Shield to Oceanic Lizard Shield¶
The following items are needed to upgrade Cyclip Shield to Oceanic Lizard Shield
Butterfly Conservation Kit 3, Botanist's Container 3 & Cyclip Shield
21 Graves must also be found and opened.
The Oceanic Lizard Shield Upgrade area can be found by entering the Lands of Mysticon, going through the whole maze to the Oceanic Lizard Shield area, a snowy adventure. The Butterfly Conservation Kit 3 and Botanists Container 3 can be found somewhere hidden at the Lands of Mysticon. Look for videos on youtube related to Lands of Mysticon and Oceanic Lizard Shield Quest. You also need to find various hidden graves around the Oceanic Lizard Area to be able to enter the final room, where the upgrade happens. Use the following search words on Youtube “Lands of Mysticon Outcastserver” and “Oceanic Lizard Shield Outcastserver”.
Upgrading Oceanic Lizard Shield to Sky Rider Shield¶
The following items are needed to upgrade Cyclip Shield to Oceanic Lizard Shield
Butterfly Conservation Kit 4, Botanist's Container 4, Oceanic Lizard Shield.
33 Graves must also be found and opened.
Sky Rider Shield Quest is a true challenge, for anyone. Butterfly Conservation Kit 4 and Botanists Container 4 can be found somewhere hidden at the Skyrider Waterfalls, a very massive questing area that leads up to the Waterfall area, where you upgrade the Oceanic Lizard Shield to Skyrider Shield. You also need to find 33 very deeply hidden graves while going through this insane adventure. This is a very long term adventure for people, so remember to activate all the checkpoints throughout the area, so you can go back when needed.
Upgrading Endymions & Archmage Wands to Aratron or Aether Wands¶
The following items are needed to upgrade either Endymion or Archmage Wand to Aratron or Aether Wand
Endymion or Archmage Wand, Purple Essence, Hydra Head, Colourful Feather
Endymions Wand can be bought from the Shop. You can get points very easily by joining the Giveaways that GM Announcer aka God Qut organizes all the time, as well as joining Questing Sessions and and XP Raids. The rest of the items needed for the upgrade can be looted from monsters, check !collectibles to see which monster drops which items. The actual area for the upgrade is somewhere midway at the Dark Overlord Set Upgrade Quest.
Upgrading Zenith’s Set OR Templar Knight’s Set to Draconian Set¶
The following items are needed to upgrade Zenith’s Set OR Templar Knight’s Set to Draconian Set
Full Zenith's Set OR Full Templar Knight's Set, Zenith's Ring, Elemental Brooch,
The Crown, An Empty Ectoplasma Container
This is where the real journey of upgrading your equipment begins. Zenith and Templar Set are exactly the same, you just need to pick whatever suits your visual needs better. You can get them from the shop, win them from Zombie Events, or win from other Events. Elemental Brooch, Crown and the Empty Ectoplasma Container (and be sure you have the Empty Ectoplasma Container, not the full one), can all be found from quests. Just look up the item name + Outcastserver as a keyword on Youtube, and youll find videos showing where to get them. Main City has the Ectoplasma Container Quiest, Crown is at Aberon, and Elemental Brooch at Valmoor. Once you have all the items, you need to visit the upgrade are that can be found at Lithgow. Upgrading Draconian Set to Fallen God’s Set¶
The following items are needed to upgrade Draconian Set to Fallen God’s Set
Full Draconian Set, Full Dark Star Set
You need a Draconian Set, which you can get by Upgrading your Zenith or Templar Set. You also need a full Dark Star Set. The pieces of Dark Star Set can be found from a quest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_MTcQbAZXk
You can get the Helmet, Legs and Boots from the previously mentioned quest. The armor must be looted from monsters such as Morgaroths.
Now its time to enter an area called the Fallen Gods Labyrinth to upgrade your Draconian Set to the Fallen Gods Set. Upgrading Fallen God’s Set to Helarctos Set¶
The following items are needed to upgrade Fallen God’s Set to Helarctos Set
Full Fallen God's Set, Morgaroth Baby, Phoenix Statue, Illuminati, Frozen Heart
Fallen Gods Set can be obtained by upgrading your Draconian Set to Fallen Gods Set. All the other items are lootable, say !collectibles in default chat to see which monster drops them. This quest can be found somewhere at the Fallen Gods Labyrinth. Upgrading Helarctos Set to Dark Overlord Set¶
The following items are needed to upgrade Helarctos Set to Dark Overlord Set
Helarctos Set, Frozen Starlight, Tear of Daraman, Butterfly Conservation Kit, Botanists Container, Panda Bear
Youve come a long way, or atleast you think you have. But really, you havent done that much in the grand scheme of things. Anyway: The quest to upgrade your Helarctos set to Dark Overlord Set is at an area called the “Underworld of Axxion”, also known as the Dark Overlord Set Quest (Use those keyword on youtube to find videos related to the quest).
Frozen Starlight can be found inside the “Underworld of Axxion / Dark Overlord Set Quest”. Also, the Butterfly Conservation Kit and Botanists Container, along with the Panda Bear are somewhere along the way at the Questing area. Tear of Daraman can be found at random spots on the map, or at a small Quest at Qutor’s Grove Area.
Upgrading Dark Overlord Set to Cyclip Set¶
The following items are needed to upgrade Dark Overlord Set to Cyclip Set
Dark Overlord Set, Tail of Darkness, Ice Stalagmite, Silver Brooch, Stone Herb,
Butterfly Conservation Kit 2, Botanist's Container 2, Morgaroth's Heart & Giant Eye
This one is quite a bit harder than the previous upgrade quest, but you’ll manage - especially if you can get a high level player to help you with the quest. Remember to look for videos on how to upgrade your set. This area is located at the “Plains of Gold” aka “Cyclip Set Quest” area (use those words again on youtube, there are plenty of videos, but all of them do not show us going to the chests and opening the hidden levers. Keep in mind, some of the videos are just clips of us running through the quest like mad men, so they dont show all the hidden things you need to figure out to complete the quest by yourself.
Tail of Darkness can be found from the questing area, also Ice Stalagmite and Stone Herb, as well as Silver Brooch. ALl of them are located somewhere at Plains of Gold. Also Butterfly Conservation Kit 2 and Botanists Container 2 can be found at the questing site.
Morgaroth’s Baby and Giant Eye are collectibles, say !collectibles in default chat to see which monster drops them.
Upgrading Cyclip Set to Craak Slayer Set¶
The following items are needed to upgrade Cyclip Set to Craak Slayer Set
Cyclip Helmet, Cyclip Armor, Cyclip Robe, Cyclip Legs, Cyclip Boots
The questing area is located at BeLuna, look up videos on youtube to find how to access the area. I believe there are no full videos showing all the secrets of this area, including where the graves that you need to click are located, and the levers you need to pull are hidden. There are also mechanical bosses that you must kill, to trigger various actions. Word of mouth is the key here, ask around from the old school players. Once you figure this piece of insanity out, the only thing you need to upgrade your set to the Craak Slayer set is a full Cyclip Set (including a Cyclip Robe, which can be found at Lands of Mysticon, and there are multiple videos of Cyclip Robe Quest on youtube that show how to get there).
Upgrading Oceanic Lizard Weapons to Sky Rider Weapons¶
You must find the Sky Rider Wizard and offer him the following products to get a Sky Rider Weapon.
An Oceanic Lizard Weapon + 17 Gold Nuggets (1700 Crystal Coins)
This is an extremely complicated and challenging quest, perhaps too challenging for newer players. You should ask people in the public Chat and try to gather as much information as you can. Also watch videos of “Wrecked Ships” and “Skyrider Weapon” quest on youtube.
You need to complete “the hurricanius task”, “angels task” and “xarptors task” from NPC Starboy. Talk to him for more information,
Upgrading the Bonesmen ring to Joy Ring¶
Complete Joy Ring Task from NPC Starboy, and complete the SpaceShip Quest
Minimum Required Level at the upgrade room: 500
Kill 700 Hypergiants and bring 150 Gold Nuggets to Starboy, also complete SpaceShip Quest
To enter the Space Ship, you must first collect all the hidden Telescopes from Circle of Mysteries and perhaps surrounding areas at Yalahar, have the key to the Space Ship obtained from Boss Run, and once you open the doors downstairs at Circle of Mysteries, you can walk to the Space Ship area by using the Boss Run Key. After that, you must finish the tasks related to your ring upgrades, if you want to upgrade an item at the end of the Space Ship.
Upgrading the Black Obsidian Tool to Cyclip Balls¶
Complete Cyclip Balls Task from NPC Starboy, and complete the SpaceShip Quest
Minimum Required Level at the upgrade room: 700
Kill 350 Vermithraxes and bring 250 Gold Nuggets to Starboy, also complete SpaceShip Quest
To enter the Space Ship, you must first collect all the hidden Telescopes from Circle of Mysteries and perhaps surrounding areas at Yalahar, have the key to the Space Ship obtained from Boss Run, and once you open the doors downstairs at Circle of Mysteries, you can walk to the Space Ship area by using the Boss Run Key. After that, you must finish the tasks related to your ring upgrades, if you want to upgrade an item at the end of the Space Ship.
Upgrading Cyclip Balls to the Roc Head¶
Complete Roc Head Task from NPC Starboy, and complete the SpaceShip Quest
Minimum Required Level at the upgrade room: 1000
Kill 666 Vermithraxes, Orbithraxes or Procyons (all count as a kill)
and bring 666 Gold Nuggets to Starboy, also complete SpaceShip Quest
